Cat Sweeney is a senior from Long Island, New York majoring in sociology with a certificate in musical performance. On Campus, she is a former President of the Princeton University Glee Club, a member of the Chamber Choir, and vice president of the Girl Up Club which advocates for education in developing countries. She is passionate about music outreach and has worked in arts education departments for Opera America, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and for the Bayimba Cultural Foundation in Uganda. Last year, she founded the Trenton Youth Singers, a Saturday morning program that supports middle school choir students from the Trenton school district. This past summer she was in Kampala, Uganda interviewing teachers, NGOs and local government about refugee education for her senior thesis.
