Release of Isolation Project: Stainer's 'God So Loved The World'
We are proud to present to you a project that was recorded, filmed and edited remotely from different locations around the world during this virtual Princeton semester. Although 2020 has been a difficult year, we maintained our collective appreciation for choral music, and, above all, our commitment to uplift the wider Princeton community through our music making.
We decided to release a project that not only captures the visual beauty of Princeton but also embodies a text – the climax of the Gospel of St John – that marks a most hopeful message. That is, one of faith and optimism even when things are not as they are usually. To the best extent possible, we hope that, through this virtual performance full of illumination and hope for the future, any feelings of uncertainty you may have might begin to ease.
P.S. Many thanks to the two alumni, Maddy Kushan and Sergei Tugarinov, who stepped in for the 2 voice parts which we lack this virtual year.
